who we are

The Wayne D. Zitt, Jr. Civic Association a nonprofit organization created to provide vital resources to the residents of Guttenberg. The organization works to identify critical need areas in the community and to secure resources that would enable those needs to be met via free and widely accessible services. The Wayne D. Zitt, Jr. Civic Association was created during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when access to healthy food was identified as a significant barrier faced by many of our community members.

The Wayne D. Zitt, Jr. Civic Associations' first initiative was the creation of a food pantry, which continues to serve our residents today, to ameliorate this need. Mayor Wayne D. Zitt, Jr., Guttenberg Housing Authority Executive Director, Ruddys Andrade, and Guttenberg Director of Revenue and Finance, John Di Stefano, established and continue to lead, The Wayne D. Zitt, Jr. Civic Association
